Pakistani engineer has developed a colorful automatic robot
Hamad Mirza, a Pakistani-Canadian engineer, has developed an automated robot that can paint accurately on walls without any external help.
A four-member team comprising Hamad Mirza and his three other colleagues from Mobile Intelligent Spraying Technology developed the robot with mapping technology. Mapping is a technique in which the robot automatically adapts itself to the environment around it.
This robot uses mapping and paints moving vertically and horizontally on the wall using a lift-shaped shaft. A platform has been used to support the robot. It also has an arm and sprayer system to perform the required functions.
Hamad Mirza said in an interview to a local news agency
"A special camera has been installed behind the spray system. It senses the robot's slight movements and image processing, thus aiding in the decision-making of paint." I did not have this camera installed, but with the help of a software algorithm to test the paint quality
The automaker designed by Pakistani-origin Hamad Mirza and his colleagues has been nicknamed "Maverick" and has gained popularity in local and international media shortly after the invention.
